Noel Gallagher - Wonderwall (Acoustic Version) - 04 October 2011
Noel and Gem of Oasis perform an excellent version of "Wonderwall" as part of an acoustic session for The End Radio (9.9.2005).
Lyrics:
Today was gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
And I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
about you now
Backbeat the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart went out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
And I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
about you
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
but I don't know how
I don't know how
Maybe
You're gonna be the one to save me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day
And they'll never throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
And I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
About you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
but I don't know how
I don't know how
Maybe
You're gonna be the one to save me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one to save me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one to save me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
To save me
To save me...

knightofjustic: there was a choice liam could rather sing wonderwall or dont look back in anger and liam chose wonderwall which was the song noel actually wanted to sing ?
RUTKN2ME92: Noel's best version. I? love it. <3
TheRightEarOfNash: @Sassman10 I always thought that this was kind similar to Ryans version (first performed in 2001) mainly because of how the guitar comes in at the end (in Ryans version it's a piano I think) but I watched 'Familiar To Millions' recently and that's how they played it live way back then in 2000 and that's not? that different from the album version. So really I don't know, It's a great version whatever.
Sassman10: @TheRightEarOfNash This isn't more like Ryan Adams' version, this is more like the one he sang himself back in 02'...this'll always be? his song, and his own version, regardless of what other influences he takes from it
TheRightEarOfNash: @definitelyoverrated I would agree with that. I mean, It's Noels song, He's always going to sing it his way but this is him kind of leaning towards Ryans version I think. It's definitely different to? how he would normally play it acoustic. It's still fantastic no matter what, hey, It's a great song!
definitelyoverrated: @knmsondre Well, I too would say that similar isn't the right word here, but the way he sings it in this version is definitely inspired? by Ryan Adams cover, as Noel really likes Ryans version.
